This document outlines the structure of a one day session or a typical 5 week session, but many factors will influence the way the course is run i.e. weather, number of students, ability, time frame and location. We will aim to fit your requirements as much as possible.

Can Control Workshops will include:
1. Introduction to health and safety:
How to use spray paint in a respectful manner. This includes the correct use of masks and gloves and will also highlight the importance of being safe when using spray paint.
2. An Insight into the History of Graffiti:
We will provide books, magazines and videos illustrating and explaining the history and progression of the art form.

3. Letter and character design:
By the end of the first workshop the group will be producing their own sketches and artwork under Cancontrol supervision. This will also allow young people to develop general skills in drawing, graphic design, illustration and typography.

4.Techniques and Effects:
We will focus and explain the skills needed to create a mural with hands on demonstrations.

5. Producing Canvases / Clothing:
The group will have the opportunity to create their own designs that they can take home and keep.

6. The production of a 'masterpiece':
The group will attempt to incorporate some of the ideas and designs from their initial sketches into a final production on a banner or designated wall space such as a playground, estate, or any thing you think could benefit by adding some colour to it.
